OWNR Card Benefits and Rewards

OWNR card does not offer cashback rewards or any additional incentives for using the card.

OWNR Card is a Prepaid Card

  • Debit Card
  • Credit Card
  • Prepaid Card
  • No Bank Account Offered

OWNR Card is very much like a traditional prepaid card that carries its own balance, and you'll need to top it up before use. It should be noted that OWNR doesn't offer a bank account with this card (while some crypto cards do), which means you won't be able to receive third-party payments, like fiat withdrawals from exchanges, for example.

It Comes in Both Physical and Virtual Forms

You can get OWNR Card in both physical and virtual versions, a feature only available with 40% of crypto cards. They'll mail you the physical card, and you can instantly get the virtual card online after completing KYC Identity Verification.

Wondering about the perks of each card type? Here are some highlights:

Physical Card
Virtual Card

Required for Car Rentals, HotelsInstant Availability
Useful When Phone Dies, or no WifiFreeze for Safety

You will find the physical OWNR Card useful for in-person purchases, while the virtual card will be perfect for online transactions like subscriptions.

Crypto-to-EUR Conversion Cost with OWNR Card

OWNR Card Requires Pre-Load

Before you can use your OWNR Card, you will need to top-up your account. This means you will have to convert your crypto in advance, exchanging it to EUR and moving it to the card account, to make it available for spending.

High Cost:Compared to the average ~1.8% crypto-to-fiat cost of other cards, converting crypto with OWNR Card will cost you more (~4.64%). This means that you will get less EUR for your crypto when using this card.

From all crypto cards we reviewed for Europe, WhiteBIT Card, Holyheld Card and Nexo Card offer the cheapest crypto-to-fiat conversions (~0.28%, ~0.5% and ~0.75% respectively), while converting crypto with OWNR Card will cost you the most, ~4.64%.

How Does OWNR Card Compare to Other Crypto Cards?

OWNR Card ranks #45 out of 47 amongst all the crypto cards we have reviewed so far. This means it's one of the bottom 20%. But don't rush to judge, our rating is based on company strength, fee structure and customer service - if this card supports your country while others don't, or you use their other services, this card may still be a good choice for you.

In addition, OWNR Card ranks #10 out of 10 amongst Non-Custodial Crypto Cards.

We compared OWNR Card with 37 similar crypto cards, available for the same geographical region. See the resulting pros and cons below.

Strongest Features Against Competitors

Here are the strongest features of OWNR Card against its 37 competitors:

  • Offers Apple Pay (while 40% of competing crypto cards don't).
  • Supports 32 cryptocurrencies (while other cards support an average of 20).
  • Their customer service is very good with a 8.7/10 score (others score only 7.4/10 on average).
  • You can get both a physical card and a second virtual card (while 60% of competing crypto cards offer only one type - either physical or just virtual).
  • Supports 11 blockchains (while other non-custodial cards support an average of 6 blockchains).
  • This crypto card is non-custodial, which means you keep the keys to your crypto assets and can connect your own wallet. You have full control, unlike with custodial cards that manage your crypto assets.

Weakest Features Against Competitors

Compared to its 37 competitors, here are the shortcomings of OWNR Card:

  • Doesn't offer any cashback (while other cards give an average of 4%).
  • Daily spend is capped at 2,500 EUR (while other cards offer 9,000 EUR daily spend limit on average).
  • Less-known company with a 3/10 company strength score (the average for all competing cards is 6/10).
  • Requires preconversion of crypto to load the card (while 30% of competitors auto-convert on every purchase).
  • Doesn't offer any free ATM withdrawals (in contrast to 50% of crypto cards which offer an average of 200 EUR free withdrawal allowance per month).
  • Their crypto-to-fiat conversion cost, including all related fees and spread, is quite high at ~4.64% (versus an average of ~1.8% with other cards.)
  • Their fee structure is not so budget-friendly, with a score of 2.2/10 (average fee structure rating amongst other cards is 5.9/10).
  • OWNR Card vs. COCA Card vs. Holyheld Card

    Company Strength Weak Weak Medium

If you plan to use your card for daily purchases, then daily spending limit is an important consideration for you. COCA Card offers the highest daily spending limit of 30,000 EUR. You will get lower daily limits with OWNR Card and Holyheld Card.

Cashback rewards are a great way to earn back some of the money you spend on your card and is an important consideration as well. Out of the three, Holyheld Card offers the best cashback rewards of up to 1%. With OWNR Card and COCA Card, you will have no cashback rewards at all.

To make a good choice, look through all features, as it is an individual choice. If you will mostly do online transactions with this card, then Apple Pay availability may not be a very important feature for you. If you travel a lot, foreign exchange rate will matter. And so on.
