Your Blackcatcard: Unlimited daily spending with a playful design
Blackcatcard Benefits and Rewards
Blackcatcard offers cashback of up to 2% on Amazon purchases OR up to 0.5% on all purchases. You can choose one of the three cashback options:
Option 1 | Option 2 ( ) | Option 3 | |
Cashback | 0.1% | 0.5% | 2% Amazon Purchases, 0% Others |
Requirements | Min 50 EUR Monthly Spend | 300+ EUR Monthly Account Balance | – |
Monthly Cashback Cap | 100 EUR | Unlimited | 50 EUR |
There are alternative rewards options, like annualized interest on your monthly account balance:
- Either 2.2% per annum with no requirements,
- or 4% per annum with a 300+ EUR monthly account balance.
Not so Great: Annual interest rewards may seem less appealing as they yield just 1.83 EUR to 3.33 EUR per month with a constant 1,000 EUR account balance.
Blackcatcard is a Debit Card
Useful Card Structure:Blackcatcard functions like a debit card, but on the backend, it is classified as a credit card. This means that while you cannot borrow money with this card, it will work at places requiring pre-authorizations.
With Blackcatcard, you'll get a true debit card experience, directly connected to a bank account. You'll receive a Malta-based IBAN bank account number issued in your name, and any funds you deposit into your account will become immediately available for spending on your card.
Useful:Some crypto card companies only allow fiat deposits from accounts that are directly in your name. With Blackcatcard, third party senders are able to deposit funds into your bank account, which means you can receive fiat withdrawals from exchanges or receive salary payments.
It Comes in Both Physical and Virtual Forms
You can get Blackcatcard in either a physical or virtual version. The virtual card is instantly available online after completing KYC Identity Verification. Applying for and activating a physical card will replace the virtual one.
Wondering about the perks of each card type? Here are some highlights:
Physical Card | Virtual Card |
---|---|
ATM Withdrawals | No ATM Withdrawals |
Required for Car Rentals, Hotels | No Tangible Asset |
Useful When Phone Dies, or no Wifi | No Apple Pay, Online Use Only |
Backup Payment Method | Instant Availability |
Get the Physical Card:Since Blackcatcard doesn't support Apple Pay, the virtual card is only good for online shopping and subscriptions like Netflix. It is a much better choice to get the physical card, so you could use the card both online and in real life.

Crypto-to-EUR Conversion Cost with Blackcatcard
Blackcatcard Requires Pre-Load
Before you can use your Blackcatcard, you will need to top-up your account. This means you will have to convert your crypto in advance, exchanging it to EUR and moving it to the card account, to make it available for spending.

From all crypto cards we reviewed for Europe, WhiteBIT Card, Holyheld Card and Trade Republic Card offer the cheapest crypto-to-fiat conversions (~0.28%, ~0.5% and ~0.7% respectively), while converting crypto with OWNR Card will cost you the most, ~4.64%.

Cashback rewards are a great way to earn back some of the money you spend on your card and is an important consideration as well. Out of the three, Nexo Card offers the best cashback rewards of up to 2%. The cashback rewards for Blackcatcard are not as high. With HyperCard, you will have no cashback rewards at all.
To make a good choice, look through all features, as it is an individual choice. If you will mostly do online transactions with this card, then Apple Pay availability may not be a very important feature for you. If you travel a lot, foreign exchange rate will matter. And so on.
